Twin Turbo Performance Advantage
Inquiries have come in recently about how we can make
20-50% more boost than other systems out there. It's
very simple - we chose the most efficient way
possible of compressing air, and delivering it to the
engine. We engineered a custom turbo combination and
intercooling that is substantially more efficient
than any supercharger-based system. Our charge temps
are very low in comparison. And our engine management
modifications are spot-on. Supercharging is an OK
approach, but intercooled 6 psi
always
beats non-intercooled 4-5psi.
Our boost curve is one of the real gems in the
system. We have
substantially
more torque in the lower-midrange RPMs, where you
normally drive/accelerate on the street. Torque
actually exceeds a 3.4L.
Also, we have been asked about the numbers claims
from others. It's clear there is something amiss in
the published numbers from what we see - the
calculations just don't add up. We've done a lot of
Boxster dynos here - a stock, healthy 2.5L Boxster
dynos a baseline of at least 160-165rwhp. Our only
comment is beware of hp claims calculated from
extraordinarily "low" baselines.
