Headers
Designed for all 1997-2004 Boxsters and Boxster S, these
headers are fundamental to any high-performance exhaust
upgrade. The performance and quality are second to none.
Often copied, but never duplicated, compare these features
to any other offering in the market:
Performance. Check out the real-world
dyno performance. Up to
25hp gain! Our headers outperform headers costing 2-3x
more.
Merged Collectors. We designed in the
highest-performance collectors possible - the F1-style
spiked True Merge. Most competitors do
not.
Better Sound. Even with no other exhaust
modifications, you'll notice a throatier growl.
Precision Welding. TurboWerx headers are
hand-welded with Argon back-purging. This is the
only way to properly weld stainless. This is an extremely
critical step in fabrication to prevent very early weld
failures. It is important to note most other market
offerings are not welded this way.
Quality of Materials. Unlike cheap
overseas made products, TurboWerx headers are 100%
handcrafted all-stainless construction - including the
flanges. The headers use uniquely thick-walled piping and
1/2" thick flanges - the same materials as our turbo
headers! No other Boxster header uses all
1/2" flanges - all others compromise with 3/8".
Installation Hardware. All gaskets and
bolts are included.
American Design. All our products are
designed in-house here in the USA.
Extended Warranty. TurboWerx offers a
6-year warranty against defects in materials and
workmanship, including any kind of metallic
fatigue/failure.
Price. More performance at less than half
the price.
Installation. Installation is very
straightforward, and can be accomplished in less than 2
hours.*
*For 2000-2004 2.7-3.2L Boxsters only: To eliminate
possible CEL on 2.7-3.2L Boxsters, post-cat O2 sensors
should be relocated from after the front cats to after the
rear cats. Otherwise simply tie these two sensors up out of
the way. (Alternately, allowing this CEL to exist will have
no effect whatsoever on engine performance - it simply
indicates the post cat sensors have not been relocated to
after the rear cat.) This does not affect the 1997-1999
models.
